Fall is around the corner and one of my favorite Holiday is coming up, that’s right… Halloween! The big question is how will COVID-19 affect Halloween this year? So far not so good.
Walt Disney World announced on their blog that this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween has been canceled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

After being shuttered for almost two months, Universal Orlando’s CityWalk will be reopening on Thursday, May 14th on a limited basis at 4 p.m. to 10 p.m daily.
About a half-dozen restaurants and eateries, as well as two retail shops and some merchandise carts will be open for business.
However, all clubs, movie theater, and Blue Man Group will remain closed. This is a great sign as Orlando’s theme parks are taking extra precautious and baby steps to get back to business after closing in mid-March because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Walt Disney World Blog just announced that Disney Springs will begin a phased reopening on May 20. Following the guidance from government and health officials, a limited number of stores and restaurants owned by third-party will start opening during the first phase. The rest of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida will remain closed.
Matt Simon, vice president of Disney Springs, said the reopening will incorporate “enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning procedures, the use of appropriate face coverings by both cast members and guests, limited-contact guest services and additional safety training for cast members.”
