Kings Island has announced on Friday, September 27th that Vortex will be retiring after 33 season. It pretty much reached the end of its service life. You still can get a last chances to ride it until October before it goes into history. This is second year in a row that Kings Island taken down another major attractions from their park after removing Firehawk last fall to make ways for Orion that’s coming to Kings Island next year.
Vortex was my 3rd coasters when I start riding roller coasters. It took me a while to ride roller coasters. After I got on the Beast, I was in love with the adrenaline of it. After many rides on Vortex, I have notice the ride was getting rough and [...]
Thrill-seekers will experience a new level of excitement when they visit Kings Island in 2020. Joining the world-class line-up of roller coasters at the park is Orion®, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, a class of roller coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet.
Riders on Orion will plummet down an exhilarating 300-foot first drop, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on Kings Island’s tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster.
Themed to the park’s new Area 72, formerly known [...]

Carnival Cruise Line just announced a brand-new ship with the familiar name from their first ship that came out in 1972; Mardi Gras. Not only it’s paying homage to their first ship but it’s going to be a whole festival on there. Mardi Gras will be the first ship ever with an onboard rollercoaster: BOLT! Check out the preview:
BOLT will be the fastest and first roller coaster at sea! Four riders will be strap in and zoom around the open-air course 187 high above sea level in motorcycle-style train throughout the course. While this coaster has similar concept of Alpine Coaster as far as you get to [...]
There’s a giant snake in the Tampa skyline this week, as Busch Gardens® Tampa Bay just completed construction on the two highest points of its unique, reptile-themed coaster, Cobra’s Curse — a menacing 30,000 lb. snake king icon and a 70-foot vertical lift that will take riders within inches of its 4-ft. fangs.
With a grand opening slated for this summer, this family spin coaster is the only one of its kind in the world, taking riders on a whirlwind adventure of exciting explorations.
