Cinderella Castle at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, FL will soon look very different. With this change, it will be done in honor of the classic “Cinderella” Film which was debuted on March 4, 1950 as it will hit 70th anniversary since it has been released. While Walt Disney World are working around the clock adding new attractions as well renovating and refurbishing all the attractions in the parks before Disney celebrates its 50th anniversary on October 1, 2021.
While there no specific changes coming to the castle other than the paint job, Disney did share a mock-up of what’s expected to look like after the renovations. Also, you can see the side by side comparison to the current version to the new royal makeover version.
If you haven’t visit Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Cinderella Castle is the centerpiece of the park where you can see the castle everywhere in the park as you’re exploring Splash Mountain or It’s a Small World.
It’s not clear when we will see the new and improved castle, however the renovations will begin very soon to through the summer, Jason Kirk – Vice President of Magic Kingdom said.
Shows like Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire and the Happily Ever After fireworks at the castle each day are still set to take place during the renovations.
With all of this changes coming in time for Disney’s 50 anniversary, Cinderella Castle will have a nice glow in the park from sunrise to sunset to the nightly show with fireworks! I can’t wait to check it out when it’s done!
