Are you ready to climb aboard on a new ship? At D23 Expo 2022, Disney Cruise Line just revealed the new ship: Disney Treasure – Ship that celebrates Walt Disney’s love of exploration.. Just months after debuting the Disney WIsh, the newest ship will begin sailing in 2024.
Disney Treasure is Disney Cruise Line’s sixth ship and a second of three Triton-class of ships for the cruise line. The design of the Disney Treasure’s grand hall will be inspired by a “gilded palace” with inspiration from real places like Asia and Africa as well a fictional place like Agrabah.
“At the heart of every adventure, there’s a treasure, and we can’t wait for you to create memories aboard this spectacular new ship,” D’Amaro said.
And for the first time for a Disney cruise ship, the Disney Treasure’s grand hall statue will feature three characters: Aladdin, Jasmine and Magic Carpet from Disney’s 1992 animated film “Aladdin.”
Lighthouse Point
Disney shared a first look at the new Bahamas Destination: Lighthouse Point. It will be the second port of call in the Bahamas after Disney’s private island Castaway Cay.
Disney is working with designers to create a destination that incorporates the local culture into the experience. Lighthouse Point will feature dining and shopping locations as well recreational activities. Disney also made the move to help with global warming as 90% of the new destination will be powered by solar energy.
