Carnival Firenze Officially Joins Carnival Cruise Line Fleet

Carnival Firenze has officially become a part of the Carnival Cruise Line fleet after being transferred from its sister line, Costa Cruises. This exciting addition brings the total number of ships in the Carnival fleet to 27. The handover ceremony took place on the ship’s bridge in Cadiz, Spain, where team members from both cruise lines gathered to mark the occasion.

Now that Carnival Firenze is part of the Carnival family, their team will embark on a two-month refurbishment project to incorporate some of the beloved features that Carnival guests know and love. They will infuse a touch of Italy into the ship, paying homage to the beauty of Florence. This exciting blend of Italian charm and Carnival’s signature fun is sure to create a unique and memorable experience for guests.

Starting from April 25, 2024, Carnival Firenze will begin sailing year-round from Long Beach, California. Guests will have a wide range of sailing options to choose from, including three- and four-day sailings to Mexico and Catalina Island, as well as five-, six-, and seven-day cruises to the Mexican Riviera. These itineraries will take guests to stunning destinations such as Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta.

Step onto the Carnival Firenze and prepare to be transported to Italy without ever leaving the ship! As soon as you enter, you’ll be greeted by stunning Italian architecture, with the atrium designed to resemble the famous Piazza del Duomo in Florence. On the Lido deck, you’ll feel like you’re lounging on the Italian Riviera, basking in the sun and enjoying the sea breeze.

Food lovers will be delighted on the Carnival Firenze, as there are a variety of dining options inspired by the culinary delights of Italy. From La Strada Grill, where you can indulge in classic Italian street food, to Tomodoro and Il Viaggio, which offer a taste of different regions of Italy, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Don’t forget to visit Bars Amari and Frizzante for a refreshing cocktail or a cup of authentic Italian coffee paired with biscotti.

In addition to the delectable food and beautiful architecture, guests can look forward to a range of activities and entertainment on board.
